Kurdistan, Iraq 1990: The brothers Zana (7) and Dana (10) live as orphans on the streets of the country ruled by Saddam Hussein. One day, when the film "Superman" is shown at the local cinema, the two climb onto a roof to catch a glimpse of the greatest hero of all time. From then on, America becomes the "city of their dreams" - a magical place where they desperately want to live. But to dare such a journey, one needs passports and a lot of money. The situation seems hopeless.
