Bob Morane discovers huge quantities of water lilies on a ship, which grow extremely fast. With the help of these plants, the Yellow Shadow, who is actually thought to be dead, wants to cripple the country's economy. In Paris, Bob is still able to burn the water lilies, but when he fights Ming in Aswan, he is wounded by the latter with a poison claw that kills within 60 seconds. Bill and Sophia see with their own eyes how Bob Morane sinks into the floods of the Nile.
